What Illuminate is

Software for running a longarm quilting business: quotes, quilts, customers, invoices, payments, stock and patterns. It runs on your own device, and it can keep a copy in your account so you can use it on more than one.

Paying for it

New accounts get a free trial. After that it is a subscription, taken by Stripe, and you can cancel from your own Stripe receipt at any time. Cancelling stops the next payment; it does not refund the period you are in.

Prices can change. You would be told before a change affected you.

If you stop paying

You are not locked out of your own books. Illuminate goes read-only: you can open every quilt, every customer and every invoice, and you can save a backup of the lot. What stops is making new work.

Your records are yours. That does not change because a card expired.

What is expected of you

  • Keep your account details to yourself. Anyone with them can reach your records.
  • Do not use it to break the law or to store anything you have no right to.
  • Keep your own backups. The app makes this one tap. Please use it.

What is not promised

Illuminate is provided as it is. It is careful software and it is tested hard, but no promise is made that it will never be unavailable or never lose anything, so which is why the paragraph above asks you to keep your own backups.

It is not an accountant and not a tax adviser. Sales tax rates it looks up are a rate to check, not an answer to "what do I owe". Its year summary is a plain list of what you typed in, for your tax preparer to work from. Neither is advice.

Ending it

You can stop at any time and take your records with you. the operator of this site may close an account that is being used to break the law or to harm other people, and would tell you why.
